Days Like Today
(Mike McCornack)
Days like today,
I find myself longing for my old friends,
weekends together.
We were inseparable,
had good times, sad times.
The right lines came out invariably.
We laughed hard, played hard …
But time walks up our lives
And takes us different ways
We all change and rearrange our lives.
Days like tomorrow
Always look frightening
I can’t see any good times.
Maybe they’re coming,
Something has to pull me through
Days like today.
But time walks up our lives
And takes us different ways
We all change and rearrange our lives.
Days like today,
I find myself longing for my old friends,
weekends together.
