Northwest Folklife Festival

After oh so many years away, Mike and Carleen are returning to Seattle Center to play the iconic Northwest Folklife Festival! The festival began in 1971, the same year Mike and Carleen started their musical journey together, and their first performance at the festival in May of 1986 remains to this day, one of their favorites and most memorable.

Since then, Mike and Carleen have played Folklife many times, both as a duo and with various configurations of their Garden Variety Band and they hope you might make the festival something you’ll consider visiting for your Memorial Day weekend this year.

Folklife is free to attend! It started out as a free festival when it began and has remained so every year since!
